Ox Industries purchased the White Pigeon, MI Paperboard Mill in 2020. At the time of purchase, the mill was non-operational, had laid off its workforce, and lacked sustainability standards. In the first two years of ownership, Ox went to work making many improvements in processes, upgrading equipment, and enhancing the mill’s environmental impact and continues on a steady track of progress today.
Since Ox Acquired the Mill in 2020:
- The Ox team closed the mill’s water loop, resulting in zero wastewater discharge into the river, recycling over 1.7 million gallons of water daily.
- The mill created stable jobs for White Pigeon and surrounding communities.
- The mill rehired many of the previous team working there before Ox took over.
