GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Ox Specialty Paper, LLC, a leader in the specialty paper industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Process & Quality Specialist to join our team. We offer a robust benefits package and competitive wages, and we are looking to fill this position immediately.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Process & Quality Specialist, you will promote a safe working environment by recognizing and mitigating hazards. You will lead technical support and training for plant processes to improve efficiency and train employees in problem-solving and decision-making techniques. Identifying opportunities to improve procedures and workflow processes will be crucial, along with managing the mill’s process control instrumentation.

You will oversee quality assurance programs, including Certificate of Analysis (COA) documentation and customer complaint investigations, and assist the EHS Manager with environmental compliance. Facilitating the identification, development, and prioritization of projects and activities, including capital requests, is another key responsibility. Supporting maintenance and electrical staff and providing relief coverage for the Maintenance Superintendent, participating in downtime maintenance, readiness planning, and project management, and covering weekend shifts as required are part of your duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

We prefer candidates with an Associate’s or Technical Degree, especially with an emphasis in Manufacturing or Quality. Knowledge of process control in a manufacturing environment and experience in process, product, or technology development are important. Strong multitasking abilities, effective communication skills, and team leadership abilities are essential. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with a demonstrated initiative, leadership, and effectiveness, are required. The ability to operate various types of testing equipment and prior knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and ISO 9000 standards, is a plus.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 40 lbs, and the ability to bend, twist, and stand as needed. You will need to read computer screens and use various tools and equipment. The work environment involves temperature ranges from -20F to 120F, high humidity up to 100% RH, and noise levels exceeding 80dB.
