Machine Set-Up Operator

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Responsible for setting up machinery to recut tubes and cores.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Set up Automatic, Paco, Eberle, and Coretech recutting machines in a timely and accurate manner
• Inspect quality of product
• Check quality on every order, fill out quality sheets, initial top of every order – with help of Recutting Supervisor
• Complete necessary paperwork
• Keep area around machine and all equipment clean and properly maintained
• Operate recutting equipment as needed to produce product according to order specifications
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED preferred.  Less than high school education with 1 to 3 years of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with assistance if required.
