Salary Range: $30.81 to $31.93 Hourly

Hours: Monday thru Friday 7am to 3pm, additional hours may be required

 

The Electrician will provide support to the mill, including the Production department by ensuring safety, little down time and other duties necessary to keep the mill operational.

 

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

  • Troubleshoot & solve electrical, instrumentation, and controls problems.
  • Practice & Lead efforts around Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures per OSHA guidelines.
  • Work effectively with other craftsmen & supervisors
  • Provide support for operations and maintenance.
  • Understand and practice adherence to the National Electrical Code requirements

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to Company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Assist customers and maintenance personnel as needed in the areas of electrical power distribution, electrical controls, and associated equipment.
  • Maintain a maintenance log of all electrical equipment.
  • Maintain the PLC systems and use them to troubleshoot equipment, solve process problems,
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment.
  • Install conduit, pull wire, and terminate wiring per electrical schematics.
  • Be available for and respond to emergency call-ins.
  • Help maintain and manage plant parts and equipment inventories.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Journeyman Electrician through and accredited program preferable
  • Worked a minimum of 4 years as a Certified Journeyman preferable
  • Must be able to read Electrical & Instrumentation Power Diagrams-both one line and three line diagrams.
  • Must be able to read Electrical Control Drawing

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must follow the plant safety rules including specific safety rules associated with various tasks. Must use all required safety equipment.
  • Tour work, evening or night shifts on a temporary or permanent basis, may be required. Days off will be assigned. Shift work and holidays may be required.
  • Overtime maybe required.
  • Must be willing and able to do work that involves considerable stooping, bending, and working on scaffolds.
  • Must be willing to do work that requires climbing and working at various heights
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • This position will work at the discretion of the maintenance manager.
  • Must be willing to further education through training and seminars.
  • Responsible for clean-up of work area(s) at the end of each day. Notify supervisor of any potentially dangerous situations and documents all corrective action taken.
  • Must possess and demonstrate a very high personal expectation of housekeeping excellence in all areas of the mill. Must set high housekeeping expectations of others in the plant in all areas of the mill.
  • All other duties as directed by the supervisor.
