OX Industries Purchases High-Speed Paper Tube Winding Line

New Eberle Machine will Support Charleston, IL Plant Converting Expansion

OX Industries has purchased a high-speed paper tube winding line with the latest technology multi-knife cutting system. The state-of-the-art equipment will be used for the OX converting expansion at its plant in Charleston, IL. Eberle SA, based in Reichstett, France, will supply the complete production line equipped with a Victoria Evolution multi-knife cutting system.

Eberle SA has been a strategic partner with OX for many years and we are excited to include them in our Charleston facility expansion, said Kevin Hayward, President of OX Industries.

The Eberle winding line will accompany an existing protective packaging line already on-site at OX’s Charleston facility. The 151,000 square foot manufacturing location is centrally located to service customers within the metro areas of St. Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati, supplying high-quality paper tubes and cores and protective packaging. OX plans to add additional equipment in 2015 as geographical reach is expanded for converted products. OX’s goal is to continue to vertically align its recycled paperboard mill capacity.
